The “learn a lot” part, though? I dunno. I ostensibly grew up in the 90s (Nirvana, Tori, Rolling Stone-era Miss Janet) and have a history of enjoying unproblematic whine rock from same (Live). I’m apparently also nostalgic for a musical era I’m too young for, and I’m married to someone with far better taste in music than I (Afghan Whigs, Mogwai). Also, I will seemingly listen to ANY GARBAGE AT ALL, as long as I can dance to it.
Finally, I’m very obviously from East Tennessee, although anybody who doesn’t love Dolly can suck it.
