In which I nerd the fuck out about the Hunger Games trailer (feel free to skip):
- That’s pretty much exactly how I pictured the Seam - looks kind of like where I grew up in Tennessee.
- I still think Liam Hemsworth is a little too pretty for Gale, but the overall look works.
- EFFIE! I wonder how much Elizabeth Banks had to practice that voice. Also, GAWD, she looks like a fucking alien - I love it. Can’t wait to see how they do the prep team.
- Aw, Prim. It’s a little heartbreaking to watch this after having read the entire series.
- Casting for Peeta is perfect, I think. He’s not too pretty, but good-looking enough to be believable.
- They remembered Katniss has grey eyes (Jennifer Lawrence’s are brown, I think). Nice touch.
- Oooh, I love that music. CGI much?
- Still not sure what I think about Lenny Kravitz as Cinna. That is pretty much how I pictured him, though.
- Caesar Flickerman. Hee.
- I imagined President Snow looking a lot slimier and a little less distinguished-looking. Love the voice, though.
- Cannot WAIT to see the Opening Ceremony.
- So glad they didn’t cast Willow Smith as Rue. Rue does not whip her hayurrrrr back and forth.
- Gahhhh, I love Haymitch. He has to be the beneficiary of the most awesome casting decision of all time - Woody Harrelson does crazy SO well.
- Oooh, the countdown is amazing.
- Rue’s song! Perfect.
